Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions trade customers ask us most about accounts, prices, delivery and returns.

Trade account

Who can open a trade account?

Trade accounts are for heating engineers, installers, contractors and other heating businesses. Fill in the trade application with your business details and our team will review it.

How do I sign in?

Click Sign in and enter the email address on your trade account. We email you a one-time code to sign in with, so there is no password to remember or reset.

I have applied but I still cannot see prices. Why?

Trade prices appear once your account has been approved and you are signed in with the same email address you applied with. If prices are still missing, call the trade counter on 0191 263 37 08 and we will check your account.

Prices and ordering

Are prices shown with or without VAT?

Trade prices are shown excluding VAT. Turn on Show VAT in the header to see prices including VAT as well.

Can I hide prices when I am with a customer?

Yes. Turn on Hide Prices in the header and prices disappear across the site until you switch it off again. This is handy when you are looking up a part in front of a customer.

What is the quickest way to find a part?

Use the search bar with the part number, SKU, GC number or a keyword such as the boiler model. You can also browse by brand or by category from the menu.

How do I reorder parts I have bought before?

When you are signed in, the homepage shows an Order again row with parts from your recent orders. Your full order history is under My orders.

New and reconditioned parts

What is the difference between new and reconditioned parts?

New parts are brand new, either genuine manufacturer parts or quality compatible parts. Reconditioned parts such as PCBs, diverter valves and fans are rebuilt and tested in our own workshop and cost less than new.

How are reconditioned parts tested?

Every reconditioned part is tested in our workshop before it is sent out. Our remanufacturing process is independently tested by BSI, and we hold the BSI Kitemark for remanufacturing.

Can you repair my faulty part instead?

Yes. We repair PCBs, fans and diverter valves. Call the trade counter on 0191 263 37 08 to arrange sending your part in.

Delivery

When will my order be dispatched?

Orders placed before 3 PM are dispatched the same working day. Saturday delivery is available on request.

How much does delivery cost?

UK delivery is free on orders of £30 and over. Standard UK delivery takes 3 to 5 working days. Some remote areas, such as the Scottish Highlands and Islands and Northern Ireland, may cost more.

See Delivery & returns for full details.

Do you deliver outside the UK?

Yes. Delivery to the EU is £14.99 and to the rest of the world £23.99. EU parcels travel with DPD Local.

How can I track my order?

Sign in and open My orders to see the status of each order.

Returns and warranty

How do I return a part?

Please contact us first. We need to give written consent before any item is sent back. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery, in original and undamaged condition. A 20% restocking fee applies to refunds.

What warranty do parts come with?

Reconditioned parts come with a 1-year warranty. New parts carry the manufacturer warranty.

What should I do if a part is faulty?

Contact us with your order number and a short description of the fault. If the part is within warranty, we will repair or replace it.
